In my designs I use recycled slate, which generally is over 100 years old. Celtic Knots, fairies, and other images are hand painted or etched onto the slate, making each product unique. I have a small stock of clocks, coasters, place settings and wall plaques available, and also take personalised orders via email or phone. I'm always happy to discuss your requirements, so call or mail! A perfectly unique and different gift, or adornment for your home........wherever your slate is placed, its sure to be a talking point!

Historians are undecided about this beautiful art form. Some say it originated in Rome, others stand firm in their conviction that it started in Britain. Celtic knots were first seen in the 6th or 7th century.....some important examples are the Lindisfarne gospels (c.690=720), where knotwork is evident, and on structures such as the Bealin Cross, County Tyrone, (c.820). It is almost certain that there was a Middle European beginning for Celtic Knotwork, although it is associated today with Irish History, and many ancient examples of this art remain in Ireland today. Celtic knots have varying styles, and uses in modern art today. I welcome you to my site, where you can see examples of my designs.
